At Luxbuilt Legacy Homes, we believe your home should feel like more than just a structure. This belief is rooted in a lifetime of hands-on experience, beginning with watching rooms take shape under the skilled hands of family mentors, and evolving into a career defined by craftsmanship, creativity, and precision.

Our founder’s journey began on Bowen Island, where team builds taught the value of perseverance and planning.

That journey expanded to Vancouver’s float homes complex, technical projects that sharpened skills and attention to detail.

By 2021, he earned his Red Seal Carpenter certification and moved to a remote island, where every build demanded innovation and grit.

What does that mean for you? It means you get a builder who understands both luxury and resilience.

Our mission is simple: to deliver stunning, high-performance homes that exceed expectations. From design to delivery, every detail is handled with care so you can focus on living in the home you've always imagined.

Questions we are often asked â€‹

1) How does the building process work from start to finish?

We begin with a discovery call to understand your vision, lifestyle needs, and budget.

From there, we handle the design, permitting, and scheduling. You’ll have a dedicated project manager and regular updates through every phase, design, foundation, framing, finishing until the final walk-through.

2) How long does it typically take to build a custom cabin or complete a renovation?

Timelines vary based on scope and season, but on average:

  • Custom cabins: 6–12 months

  • Renovations: 2–6 months
We provide a realistic schedule up front and stick to it. You'll always know where we’re at and what’s next.

3) How do I know I’m not overpaying?

We operate transparently with itemized estimates, fair market pricing, and full cost breakdowns. We welcome questions about materials, markups, and timelines because we believe in educated clients and open books.

4) How much does it cost to build a cabin or renovate a home?

It depends on design, size, and materials, but we always start with a realistic budget range. From there, we dial in the estimate together, so you understand exactly what you’re investing in. There are no surprise invoices.

5) What happens if material prices go up mid-project?

We lock in as much as possible early in the process and build a contingency buffer to protect your budget. If anything changes, we discuss it with you first. Transparency is non-negotiable.

6) Is there a warranty on the work you do?

Yes. We offer a comprehensive warranty that covers workmanship and structural elements. We also provide you with a final package that includes material information, manuals, and maintenance tips.

7) I’ve had a bad experience with a contractor before. Why should I believe this will be different?

We hear this often, and it’s why we do things differently. Our approach is built on proactive communication, detailed documentation, and delivering what we promise. We rebuild trust by never breaking it in the first place.

8) Can you help us design a cabin that works for retirement or aging in place?

Yes. Many of our clients are planning their forever home, and we specialize in layouts and finishes that make long-term living easier, like single-floor designs, wider doorways, and accessible entries.

9) How do you protect the site, the environment, and my neighbours?

We take site safety, cleanliness, and respect for nature seriously. That means proper fencing, waste removal, and erosion control especially in sensitive island or lakeside environments.
